• SimEMR is an Electronic Medical (or Health) Record for use in a simulation environment.
• SimEMR creates a simulation environment by enabling the creation and simulated care of patients through a system designed to mimic the content of a real world EMR.
• Instructors can create profiles and scenarios for learners to complete. Learners can complete their assigned work in a way that mimics a real healthcare environment. Instructors can then review and provide feedback to these learners in an intelligent way.
• SimEMR is designed not only to prepare learners for the contents of a real EMR, but also as a tool to support the education of the medical professionals of the future.
